Hosseinabad is a city situated in the western part of Iran, It is one of the world’s oldest cities and is mentioned under the name of Ekbatana in the Bible, The city is a centre for trading with carpets that are manufactured in the hundreds from nearby villages and towns.

The best of these carpets are sold under their own village or town names such as Tuiserkan, Mahal, Nahavand, Borchalou, Malayer or Hosseinabad Each village has it’s own specific pattern and is made with a shiny and often are very durable quality wool with beautiful colours in geometric and other designs.

Mostly made on horizontal looms on a cotton warp and weft. Hamadan rugs are of good value and very practical rugs to be used in most areas.
